Massachusetts Chapters

Massachusetts HOSA chapters are found all over the Commonwealth. Over 1500 students have been part of MA-HOSA. University membership is expected to increase over the next five years exponentially.

MA-HOSA growth is expected at all levels. Middle school, high school, post-secondary/collegiate, and even community chapters! Student activities vary across the state. From fundraising for a cause to volunteering, interning, and other activities, chapters focus on goals that are beneficial to the students, their school, and the community.

Chapters also make time to recruit new members, keep existing members active, and involve themselves in state and national programs and conferences. They are unceasingly busy throughout the year, have fearless leaders, and are dedicated to the constant improvement of their chapter each year.

Schools with HOSA chapters provide members with a sense of belonging and open countless doors for future development. Chapters across the nation are the foundation for growth that members build upon.

Starting A Chapter

Starting a local HOSA chapter is rewarding for students. Follow the steps below to ensure a successful start to a new chapter.

1. Initial Membership Recruitment

Obtain school permission and recruit a chapter advisor. Once a chapter advisor has been secured, you will need to recruit at least five members to get started. Once you have an advisor and five potential members, continue to the next step.

2. Have your advisor contact the Massachusetts HOSA State Office.

Setup a time with your potential advisor and together request a phone call with the state office at jvallejos@massachusettshosa.org

3. Recruit students and establish your chapter’s sustainable infrastructure.

Continue recruitment, establish chapter goals, and set up chapter infrastructure.

4. Track your goals and objectives, highlight your accomplishments

What goals have you met, and what have you accomplished? Let your school, community, and state office know! Some of these accomplishments will be shared with all state members.
